Carnivore pizza or in general carnivore diet in Greece would be pure paradise experience! In fact, in any Mediterranean country, you could bring your carnivore lifestyle to a gourmet level. And not only that, in this area, you’ll have healthiest sources of lamb, goat, wild game, seafood, fish, eggs, snails, frogs…
The list goes back to ancient times when a typical celebration included 24-hours baked cow stuffed with a lamb, which was then stuffed with a small wild boar. Furthermore, the ancient chefs would stuff the piglet with a turkey, then with a chicken or duck, finishing with quails stuffed with eggs or seafood. There are numerous recipes in the book of ancient Roman culinary expert Apicius that describe this procedure.
Why making carnivore pizza?
As we already wrote several times, it’s not all about just nutrition data and macros. Humans have been passionately performing culinary art ever since ancient times. It’s not a sin to be a Keto foodie or just to enjoy cooking, baking and preparing food. Numerous studies have shown that it has a therapeutic effect and cooking for others is one of the noble traits of an individual! Pizza is an urban myth! It became so popular in the 20th century that we had to Ketonise it several times. Ketonisation is easy, you have all sorts of plant-based stuff to work on the crust. However, making a perfect carnivore crust is another level of culinary expertise! And guess what – we nailed it! You will be able to make an amazing Carnivore pizza by following this simple recipe!
Why are our ingredients so unusual?
Perhaps it seems that way to you because you don’t live in the Mediterranean area? All these things are widely available and quite affordable here. However, if you cannot find real goat feta, buffalo mozzarella, smoked pancetta or real prosciutto, you can make your own tweak with the smoked meat available to you!
In today’s world, there are online stores selling all sorts of dried meats! There must be something that is typical for your area. You can even add smoked salmon or any other seafood to this inspiring carnivore pizza.

Will the crust stay in one piece?
Look at this photo? Like a real pizza crust, only made of minced meat! How about that? Well, there are some tricks to make minced meat crust stay in one peace even when you hold it the way you would hold a classic pizza. Try to follow our instructions and the success is guaranteed!
Carnivores do not care for the macronutrient ratio as Ketonians do. Yes, this carnivore pizza will be much richer in protein than Keto pizza would be, but you can always eat just a slice and add some extra fatty food to balance it if your ketosis is precious to you! One thing this Pizza doesnot have is carbs – well, only in traces 😉

- 250 g minced lamb fatty part
- 250 g minced beef very fatty part (or just add a tbsp of lard or tallow)
- 1 whole egg free range
- 3 large egg yolks
- 100 g (3.5 oz) goat or sheep feta
- 1 tbsp beef gelatine preferably grass fed
- 1/2 cup (100 ml) sparkling mineral water
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground rosemary optional
Red sauce (binding agent for the topping in case you don't want to use too much cheese)
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 tsp red paprika powder you can use hot
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp beef gelatine
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) warm water
- 150 g (5.2 oz) Buffalo mozzarella Cow's will work but that will not be it 😉
- 8 slices smoked prosciutto thin
- 6 slices beef jerky thin
- 6 slices smoked pancetta thin (you can use bacon)
- 1 medium pickled green or red hot pepper sliced
- 1 tbsp grated aged cheese of your choice we like goat cheese
First, mix the gelatin with sparkling mineral water at room temperature. Now add all the spices to this mixture.
Mix the two kinds of minced meat with egg yolks and one whole egg and then add the gelatine mixture. Crumble the feta cheese with your hands and add it to the meat. Mix well to unify.
Place the meat mixture between two parchment papers and roll it out to create a thin crust. It should be approximately 5mm (0.2-inch) thin.
Bake the crust in the oven for 10 minutes at 200ºC (400ºF)
Prepare the red sauce by mixing warm water with gelatine and 3 egg yolks. Now add red paprika powder and sea salt. Spread this sauce all over the half baked crust.
Cut mozzarella into very thin slices and place on top of the sauce. Top with thin slices of dried meats. (alternatively, add chopped hot pepper and grated aged cheese and some oregano on top)
Bake for another 10 minutes but turn your oven to roasting option so that the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
It's equally delicious to consume it hot or cold.
